Nordic Invaders Mitten

Nordic Invaders Mittens — a playful fusion of old and new. We have reimagined our old Space Invader Mittens, combining traditional Norwegian knitting styles and patterns with the pixel spirit of 1970s arcade games.

We first designed the pattern many years ago for an advertising campaign for Norwegian brown cheese. The slogan was “a classic tradition reimagined” — and the idea was to update something deeply familiar with a fresh twist. That became the Cheese Attacks sweater, where we transformed a traditional Norwegian motif into the shapes of a video game.

A few years later, we reimagined the design once more — this time as the Space Invader mitten. Playful, modern, yet rooted in tradition, it quickly became one of our most popular designs.

Now, with the Nordic Invaders Mittens, we’ve refined the fit and charts while keeping the charm that knitters have always loved. A little heritage, a little nostalgia — and plenty of warmth for winter.
