This pattern is written for the magic loop method, and the socks are worked from the toe up. If you prefer working with DPNs, then you may use 2 needles for your top needle (TN) and 2 needles for your bottom needle (BN). If you prefer working in the round with small circumference circulars, then you may use two stitch markers to separate the TN sts from the BN sts in your work
