Light as a feather, Contact drapes around your neck softly and smoothly. The small shawl with a modern, asymmetrical triangular shape is knitted with only two
skeins of our Cheeky Merino Joy and gives off a maritime nonchalance with its striped design in the colours Sand and Blue Whale. Fiona Munro has designed a favourite in which easy-to-knit mosaic knitting details and subtle textures ease up the classic stripes. Whether indoors or outside, Contact is your stylish companion for the whole day.

You start knitting Contact at the right corner, shaping it by working increases along the top edge and decreases along the shorter edge. The high-contrast stripes are mellowed by simple textures formed by knit and purl stitches. For the mosaic motif within the stripes, you keep the colour of the previous row by simply slipping stitches. Thus, you work with only one strand of yarn per row and nevertheless achieve an interesting two-coloured effect.

Contact was designed for our 2021 collection, to which Rosy gave the theme of touch. This year, we have all become particularly aware of the importance of interpersonal closeness and touch. More and more, however, it is also becoming clear that we belong together worldwide and that what happens on the other side of the globe also touches us. The names of our patterns express this in different languages, hence the name Contact.
