Christmas Balls 2025 by Arne & Carlos
Arne & Carlos's 24 NEW Christmas Balls for 2025 are finally here! The pattern includes a basic pattern to make 24 Christmas Ball designs.
YARN
ROWAN NORWEGIAN WOOL. 100% Wool, comes in 50-gram balls. 125 m / 137 yds
150 grams of colour Cloud Dancer #014
150 grams of colour Ribbon Red #018
50 grams of colour Emerald #017
Because Norwegian Wool in these colours tends to sell out quickly, you can also use any
other DK-weight yarn. One of our favourites is Hillesvåg Ask (100% Norwegian wool, 100-
gram hanks / 315 m / 344 yds)
Suggested Ask colours:
Off White #6057
Red #6013
Green #6024
GAUGE
22 stitches and 28 rows to 10 cm (4 inches).
NEEDLES and HOOKS
Arne & Carlos will always knit the balls using a set of 5 dpns. However, the balls can also be knitted using a long circular needle (magic loop) or using two short circular needles - it’s up to you! Whichever way you prefer knitting the Christmas Balls, the size of the needles required is 3.5 mm / U.S. size 4.
You will also need a crochet hook size 3 mm / U.S. size D3 to make the hanging loops and a blunt embroidery needle to weave in the loose ends and to attach the hanging loops.
STUFFING
Use 100% wool batting for stuffing because they make the balls firmer and suppler and they keep their shape. Although this material is more expensive, you will need less filling per ball. Choose natural white or beige colours. Figure on about 20 gr / .70 oz per ball
Original: $4.90

$1.72
