Amaru Top by Cecilia Losada

Amaru Top by Cecilia Losada

This top is knitted from top to bottom and features a round yoke. You begin with the neckline. A section with short rows is worked at the back. The yoke expands outward with increases and features a multicolored pattern created using slipped stitches (in the mosaic technique), which you can easily follow with a knitting chart. Once the yoke is complete, you separate the stitches for the sleeves and put them on hold, cast on additional stitches for both armholes, and continue knitting only the body stitches until you reach the waist. Once the body is finished, you continue with the sleeves. The stripes on the body and sleeves are not all the same width; those in the main color gradually become one round wider from stripe to stripe.
